Beyoğlu Eye Training and Research Hospital Neurology Outpatient Clinic is one of our specialized units that conducts the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of brain, spinal cord, peripheral nervous system, and muscle diseases; while also playing a critical role in the management of neurological pathologies directly related to the visual system. Since many neurological diseases can manifest with ocular findings in the early stages, our clinic exhibits a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach with our ophthalmology department.
In our outpatient clinic; diagnosis and treatment services are offered in a wide spectrum, such as headache (migraine and other types of headaches), epilepsy, cerebrovascular diseases (stroke), dementia (Alzheimer's and other memory disorders), movement disorders (Parkinson's disease, etc.), multiple sclerosis (MS), and neuromuscular diseases. Particularly, the neurological evaluations of our patients presenting with vision loss, double vision, or eye movement disorders are meticulously carried out using advanced diagnostic methods.
Modern neurophysiological examination methods (EEG, EMG), neuroimaging techniques (MR, CT), and laboratory facilities are utilized in the diagnostic processes. Due to the anatomical and functional connection between the eye and the brain, we act in full cooperation with our ophthalmology specialists, especially in neuro-ophthalmological cases, and our patients' treatment processes are planned with a holistic perspective.
