Beyoğlu Eye Training and Research Hospital Internal Medicine Outpatient Clinic is the unit at the center of our hospital's complementary and holistic healthcare services, conducting the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of systemic diseases that may be associated with eye diseases or affect the treatment process. Our clinic plays a critical role, particularly in evaluating the systemic health of our patients for whom surgical operations are planned and in their preparation processes for surgery.
In our outpatient clinic; the examination and treatment of hypertension, diabetes (sugar disease), thyroid diseases, hyperlipidemia (cholesterol disorders), anemia, and other systemic chronic diseases are performed. Particularly, the pre-operative systemic evaluations, anesthesia preparation, and management of the suitability of the general health status for surgery of our patients planned for eye surgery are meticulously carried out by our experienced expert staff.
Modern laboratory facilities and up-to-date clinical guidelines are utilized in the diagnosis and treatment processes. A "multidisciplinary" approach is adopted in full coordination with our ophthalmologists, taking into account our patients' systemic health statuses, existing eye pathologies, and the requirements of the surgical procedures to be performed.
